The world’s largest survey of business intelligence users begins
The BI Survey 9 gets underway
LONDON, 22nd Oct 2009
Now in its ninth year, The BI Survey has become something of an institution in the business intelligence (BI) community: Every year, thousands of BI users and consultants contribute to the most comprehensive vendor-independent study of BI software selection and usage anywhere in the world.
All BI software users, both business and technical, as well as vendors and consultants, are encouraged to take part in The BI Survey. Participants will receive a free summary of the results and are entered into a prize draw to win one of ten $50 Amazon vouchers.

“The great thing about The BI Survey is the depth and detail of information that it exposes”, said Carsten Bange, CEO of BARC – publishers of The BI Survey. “Last year, we published a 489-page report based purely on the findings from the Survey”.
“Even the summary we gave to participants as a thank-you contained considerably more insight than almost all the research papers on BI usage that I have ever read – and I’ve seen a lot!”
The Survey focuses on the selection process, implementation cycle, deployment characteristics, problems, user experiences and business success achieved. The results will form the basis of a report to be published by BARC next spring.
